Already founded in 2007pastor dr. Gerhard Schnitzspahn the DOOR project. The acronym D.O.O.R. for DEEP ORGAN ON ROCK. For those who know the rock music scene, the proximity to the epoch-making album "DEEP PURPLE IN ROCK" by the group DEEP PURPLE is obvious. In the meantime, the D.O.O.R. project has succeeded in opening a door between old and new music and its instruments. The project is thus breaking new ground
in the field of church music. The project found a congenial addition four years later, when the rocking pastor gave the

concert organistsBernhardt Brand-Hofmeister met and him for the position of church musician in hisCommunity win
could. Together with the founding member and drummerThomas Churthe three musicians developed the concept and profile of the project, which has now grown to nine permanent members and additional guest musicians.

When bass riffs merge with organ chords, it's time for "DEEP ORGAN ON ROCK" again in the Johanneskirche in Darmstadt. That's the name of the music project in which a rock band and the church organ perform well-known rock and pop classics together. With this impressive musical crossover, the D.O.O.R. project has been delighting lovers of organ and rock music with its sacred sonority for years. Full churches and satisfied event organizers are the result.

VIEWER RECORD

It was an intoxicating "night of adventure" in Wittenberg. We played in the venerable Schlosskirche and were able to look forward to more than 1500 visitors in four sets. People lined upstood to see and hear us. Thanks to thecity of Wittenberg and Marketing GmbHwho made this appearance possible for us. We are totally flashed!

LOUD AND GOOD

It was so loud in the  Cosmas and Damianskirche in Neunkirchen rare. Impressive to see how the organist Bernhardt Brand-Hofmeister scurried virtuously and nimbly over the keys and certainly put our organ through a marathon that you rarely experience!

The other musicians not only showed that older "guys" can still really rock, but that they were also completely convincing as musicians. Fun fact: Gerhard Schnitzspahn is the father of our current pastor, Yannik Schnitzspahn, and is also a pastor in Darmstadt himself.  (quoted from the church website)

CONCERT SEASON SUCCESSFULLY ENDED!

Finally we had some opportunities again to wow our audience with our unique and exciting performances. We feel honored that after the lean Corona years and numerous cancellations, we were allowed to play in front of a grateful and full house almost every evening. That includes some loyal viewers who never miss a single concert near them. We're looking forward to next year, when we have a lot planned again.

If the Musician Director is enthusiastic and the musicians say after three encores that they played everything they could, that also shows that it was a good evening.
