ABOUT US
Already founded in 2007pastor dr. Gerhard Schnitzspahn the DOOR project. The acronym D.O.O.R. for DEEP ORGAN ON ROCK. For those who know the rock music scene, the proximity to the epoch-making album "DEEP PURPLE IN ROCK" by the group DEEP PURPLE is obvious. In the meantime, the D.O.O.R. project has succeeded in opening a door between old and new music and its instruments. The project is thus breaking new ground
in the field of church music. The project found a congenial addition four years later, when the rocking pastor gave the
concert organistsBernhardt Brand-Hofmeister met and him for the position of church musician in hisCommunity win
could. Together with the founding member and drummerThomas Churthe three musicians developed the concept and profile of the project, which has now grown to nine permanent members and additional guest musicians.
When bass riffs merge with organ chords, it's time for "DEEP ORGAN ON ROCK" again in the Johanneskirche in Darmstadt. That's the name of the music project in which a rock band and the church organ perform well-known rock and pop classics together. With this impressive musical crossover, the D.O.O.R. project has been delighting lovers of organ and rock music with its sacred sonority for years. Full churches and satisfied event organizers are the result.

FIRST CD RELEASE ON ORGANOPHON!
D.O.O.R - DEEP ORGAN ON ROCK
The D.O.O.R. project has been on the road with different casts since 2007. Starting from the home church of the founder, Pastor Gerhard Schnitzspahn, it made its way beyond the borders of Darmstadt. Of course, the church organ and the electric guitar are always there. The wind section was added in 2015 and the repertoire grew steadily.
After the press, radio and television had long since become aware of this unique combination, it was time to produce a CD. After the copyrights could be clarified, it was released under the ORGANO PHON label.
There are audio samples on the link under the cover picture.
It was an intoxicating "night of adventure" in Wittenberg. We played in the venerable Schlosskirche and were able to look forward to more than 1500 visitors in four sets. People lined up to see and hear us. Thanks to the City of Wittenberg and Marketing GmbHwho made this appearance possible for us. We are totally flashed!
